Social Marketing Help - Ok, so I could have put this in the "Marketing" section, but it's really GreenGamma stuff, so I put it here. I'm pretty sure being connected via the social networks is critical to remain relevant, to communicate with your peeps and to stay abreast of important green issues. My focus is on Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin. But be honest, do you really have time to be visiting all these sites EVERY day? Eco Caters is the most Popular web site on the original green search Engine and Directory, greengamma.com for February 2009. Based on our formula, Eco Caters, truly was THE most popular website. It was amazing to read the influx of positive reviews they received from their clients. That combined with the number of hits and their overall rating of 5 stars gained them this honor. According to their website, "Eco Caters is dedicated to protecting both the earth, which is the source of our cuisine, as well as the people who populate the planet. We do so primarily through the use of biodegradable products, by using only organic foods and by purchasing produce from farms where fair trade practices are used. In addition to these methods of conscious consumption, a portion of our proceeds is donated to organizations that support renewable energy and a sustainable lifestyle." Everything you need to know about email marketing - In my research I found two great articles on email marketing. Both are distributed by mailermailer, an email marketing company. The first one basically is a primer on how to do email marketing. The second gives you every metric you'll ever need about email marketing. One tip I learned is that Sunday is the best day to send out your marketing! Who knew? That's why you're getting this today (along with the fact that it's the first day of the month which is the day we send out our newsletter!) Anyhoo, I've made it real easy to read both articles right here, enjoy!
Get $100 for advertising on Facebook, Free from Visa (really, Free!) - Again, I'm researching social marketing and I come across an ad from VISA for one hundred dollars ($100) towards any Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising you want to do on Facebook. Well I wasn't doing any advertising on Facebook (I prefer Magnetic Marketing) but I check it out. Sure enough that's what they do! What's the catch? There really isn't any, all you have to do is sign on to their Facebook page and some other simple steps and they credit your account with $100. (disclaimer: I'm not getting anything out of this, other than to imagine your smiling faces :) Last time I checked, this program was still active so check it out here and go get some new peeps to your websites!
