Marketing Tips
What's all this talk about Twitter? - For all Twitter novices or if you've never used Twitter, what's all the fuss? Twitter, I believe is cool on many levels. But i'll get to that later. To use Twitter you basically sign-up at Twitter.com, create a user name and complete a profile (adding your smiley face to your profile is important and personalizes the impersonal web.) Ok, now what? Start tweeting! With 140 characters or less, tell people about you self, your product or news from around the world. Update periodically and start following others who will then follow you and you'll build up a nice community. Ok why is this cool? First, you get to meet new people, which is always interesting, second, if you want to market something you are building a community that has like interests, and lastly, you'll be amazed at all the cool stuff people talk about. Now the most important thing on Twitter and any other social site is that you engage the community: comment on other tweets, offer help and share. Not in a phony way, but in a real way, the way you would engage with anyone face to face. People then get to trust you and the universe takes over spreading abundance in its wake (sorry got carried away). Greengamma http://www.twiitter.com/greengamma has about 4000 followers and growing daily. If you need help with Twitter drop me a note.
Blurbsville, USA - Blurbsville is our little green marketing community. Many people are interested in promoting their site or cause, but in these times, don't want to spend too much. We are providing a low-cost forum in our monthly Green Wave newsletter just for that reason. For a nominal fee of $5.99 we will list your 50 word (or around 50) blurb with a link in that months newsletter. Charities are FREE! Drop me a note if you want in to Blurbsville.
